Q: What is the $ goal for the building campaign?

A: Our initial goal is to raise $170,000 in the First out of Three Phases. 

First Phase: $170,000 (Purchase Bamboo Pavilion Material for building)

Second Phase: $170,000 (Cement Slab, tile columns, Infrastructure--Electrical, Plumbing, Septic)

Third Phase: $170,000 (Paved Parking) 

Q: What will the new building have?

A: The finished building will have a 48’x64’ foot print of which 32’x48’ will be the meeting area for church, events, etc. and the rest will be an 8’ wrapped around lanai and restrooms; paved parking is also planned with landscaping.

Q: What are the various fundraisers the church has planned?

A: The major way that we are raising the funds are through the “Buy a Brick Program” (a link is provided on the bottom of this page)

·         We are also looking into a Golf Tournament, Dinner/Concert Show,  2.5k Fun run, and Corn maze.

·         Other areas include several small fundraisers such as a food booth at various community events throughout the year.

Q: Is there a Fundraising Committee?

A:  Yes, we have 5 people from our church (Yvonne Friel, Suzanne Bishaw, Lisa Norris, Sarah Ching and Pastor Cameron) though we are looking for more help to assist.

 

Construction Phase FAQ:

Q: Is there a Building Committee?

A: Yes, we have a Building Committee comprised of 5 people from our church (Dana Takashima, Roy Hirayama, Colleen Colipano, Kirby Kester and Pastor Cameron) along with our general contractor Mike Soares.

Q: Where are we at in the process?

A: All permits have been secured from the Maui County for our building permit. We have gotten most bids to begin the project.  We are currently in the “fundraising” process.

Q: When will construction start and end?

A: We are praying we begin purchasing material for the building in the beginning part of year 2017 targeted as a three year project. We need your support and prayers.

“Buy a Brick Program”

Q: What will the bricks look like?

A: The bricks will be laser engraved (black printing—on reddish colored brick) and placed on the walkway leading up to the building.

 

Q: How much does the Brick Cost?

A:  We have 3 different sizes being offered: 4”x8” brick ($180), 8”x8” brick ($360), 12”x12” brick ($720)

*If by chance you want to engrave a company logo it will be an additional charge of $55 per brick

Q: Can I choose where on the walkway my brick will be placed?

A: The bricks will be placed randomly to create a visually appealing layout.
